Health Savings Accounts (HSAs)
A Health Savings Account (HSA) is established through a trustee who is different from a health insurance carrier. Though they are often marketed with the HSA-compatible High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), W&R advisors can refer their
client(s) to any HSA provider in the U.S.
Flex offers its own HSA product called FlexHSA® which we refer to as "the complete HSA experience." W&R is not affiliated with FlexHSA, nor does it participate in the establishment of HSAs.
FlexHSA is an integrated product that offers the same health insurance solutions W&R advisors are already receiving through Flex in addition to banking services and investment options through the same point of contact. This model provides W&R advisors and their clients with a single resource for all their healthcare needs.
FlexHSA offers two account options (one for spenders and one for savers), while allowing account holders to manage their HSA through our online portal Personal Cash Manager. This online tool provides real-time access to HSA and banking information, in addition to providing the ability to make investments into stocks, bonds, mutual funds, alternative investments and more.
